Duwisib Castle
About 72km south west of Maltahöhe, situated amongst rolling red hills, you can find Duwisib Castle, a solid rectangular structure of red sandstone with battlements and turrets on its corners. Today, the interior of the castle and much of its original furniture and artwork can be viewed in the museum.

Sossusvlei
About 180km west of Maltahöhe one of Namibia's most impressive sights - the Sossusvlei - is located. World-famous Sossusvlei is an enormous clay pan, flanked by the famous red sand dunes that stand out against the blue sky. The sand dunes in the Namib Desert are often referred to as the highest dunes in the world. Surrounded by majestic star-shaped dunes with curvaceous lines, the pan and the surrounding dunes are especially breathtaking in the morning and evening hours.

Mariental & Kalahari
At Mariental, about 110km from Namseb, you can visit the Hardap Recreation Resort. The resort is one of Namibia's oldest and most extensive resorts and has much to offer in terms of recreation. It is surrounded by a game park and includes a bird sanctuary. Close to Mariental the famous Kalahari Desert starts.
